About Victoria Lai
Victoria Lai is a principal analytical lead at Google, where she advises on big data insights, digital strategy and measurement for several of Google’s largest clients.
Prior to Google, she was an editor and economist for the Economist Intelligence Unit’s China service. She managed an international team of contributors covering China’s provincial developments and authored reports on urbanisation and demographics, healthcare, new energy and political economy.
Victoria is the co-founder and former head of the New York chapter of Young China Watchers. She is also a former term member of the Council of Foreign Relations. She holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics in International Relations and a BA from UCLA in International Economics with a double major in Political Science.
